Twitch’s first convention is drawing closer and closer each day and knowning that there is a lot of news coming out with what’s going to be happening throughout the event. Needless to say, there will be a lot happening. Luckily, if you’re attending TwitchCon 2015, Twitch has an app to help you out. On top of that, the company has released an update for their Twitch app which bring a much requested feature to it: Push Notifications for Broadcasters.

The update for the Twitch application is now out and available for download. The brand new Push Notifications feature for Broadcasters is precisely because it sounds. Whenever you consume a broadcaster on Twitch, you will now get a notification once they go live. Should you currently have the app installed and therefore are downloading the update, all you need to do is turn on notifications from within your Android device’s settings and you’re good to go. New users to the app don’t have to do anything whatsoever. If you decide in the future you wouldn’t want notifications, just go in to the apps settings and toggle them off.

There are also improvements with this update too, albeit the Push Notifications would be the biggest. For tablet users, the chat is now available in landscape mode. Looking bar has become visible across all devices as well.

TwitchCon 2015 is nearly here and if you are going, there is lots to do there. Twitch has released a credit card applicatoin that will help you plan your days during the show. You will be able to construct a personalized schedule, receive alerts for just about any schedule or location changes and special surprise events, a complete list of events and speakers, and so forth.
