During E3 2015 last month Kabam announced a new Star Wars game they’d be publishing for mobile devices called The exorcist Uprising. In the event you missed that announcement, farmville takes place between your events of Episode six and The Force Awakens, bridging the space forwards and backwards periods and filling in the story forwards and backwards.
[UPDATE: Wednesday, September 9th – 2:48 PM, PST] It appears as though release dates have become more flexible. If you’ve been waiting for the appearance of the latest Star Wars game, your wait has ended. Star Wars: Uprising is now available to download within the Google Play Store. The sport is free-to-play, and does include optional in-app purchases. The hyperlink to download the game can be found after this short article.
This is a class-less game, meaning players will be able to custom build their character to the way they want to. So players will pick the faction they would like to join and from there they set out to gain levels their character and equipping them with the very best gear. There will be hundreds of skills based on Kabam, which is going to be made available through the actual gear you are equipped with, that is where the whole class-less system takes place. So while your character could be a Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Rebel Guerilla, other The exorcist ‘classes’, or something entirely new, the way they are made is totally your decision.
The new preview trailer, shown above, was obtained from an Alpha build of The exorcist Uprising. It shows a few of the gameplay and how it will take place, as well as some of the inventory and characters in the game. It even shows a few of the cut-scenes and multiplayer content. This is Alpha footage though and while releasing a relevant video showcasing this gameplay is pretty much a confirmation in regards to what we can expect when the game fully launches, a number of this might change prior to the actual release.
We also now have a bit better of an idea regarding when this game will be launching. Within the video it states that Star Wars Uprising will be arriving September 2015, therefore we do have a bit of a wait still. If/when a beta starts up, we’ll post an update. Hopefully the monetization in this game isn’t as aggressive as some of Kabam’s current titles.
